Power by name. Power by nature.

A former USA collegiate gymnast, and a 20+ year technology executive, Max initially came to yoga knowing she ‘should’ do it, but rarely taking the time away from a crazy work and travel schedule, other than to shove in a high impact workout at 6 AM, all while checking emails and never leaving her phone more than 5 feet away.

It took a good friend convincing her to try a power yoga class set to music, in a warm room, to get Max to open up and see yoga differently. A full body experience of stretch and strength while giving the mind a moment to reset and catch up - coming out feeling accomplished, exhausted, rested, mindful and energized all at the same time. She realized in that moment that she never fully understood yoga and that this was a whole new world to learn and grow from. Since then, she has looked to bring this learning via varied styles of yoga to other like-minded people.

While on her journey, Max also fell in love with learning how to breathe and meditate to improve overall health. Having a mother with early onset Alzheimer’s, her focus on breath and quality of life have become incredibly important, creating a shift in her mindset in how she approached day to day life and the desire to share those learnings with other people (see her Blog for content!).

Coming from the start-up technology and corporate world, Max understands what weight you’re carrying around (work, family, life), and that prioritizing focused 'me time', to leave life at the door for 30 minutes feels like a major sacrifice, but is also critically important to being a better employee, mother, partner and human.

Trained in Thailand, Max brings all of this to the mat, providing a challenging environment to build both body and mental strength, balance and stretchiness, leaving you with a smile to take with you out the door. Whether it’s one-one-one, small groups, or a weekend workshop or retreat, time with Max and her carefully selected network of experts is time well spent in the moment, providing tools to carry forward with you as yogis and humans of all levels.

Don't be surprised to find references to her other passions - food, travel, technology, nieces/nephews/god’kiddos, kickboxing, bulldogs - sprinkled into your time together. As always, 10% of all proceeds for everything Max does goes to Alzheimer's & dementia support and research in the name of Breathe Louise.

Namaste.
